for mitt romney. the broadest poll of all voters has romney with a 4 point lead and this was taken for four days starting with the debate. the day after the debate now. the previous poll had president obama with an 8 point lead, but the swing that's more pronounced is among women. it's a major, major thing, and 47-47. that's a 18 point swing from the previous poll. on to another area where mitt romney is catching up on money, goldman sachs employees, they gave more than a million dollars to obama in 2008. and they've only given them $136,000, on the other hand goldman sachs employees have given mitt romney 900,000, and more to the super pac. so, sandra, lots of signs point to go a romney revival and the thing that jumps out. 47-47% among women and this would seem just absolutely unbelievable just a week ago. >> first of all, there's a lot of time still left before the election and these numbers can still change. the change in women voters is huge and it also brings to realization that there is he' still a lot of undecided voters out there that are still easily swayed with just days left bef

crowley. >>> the race is extremely close right now. the new cnn poll of polls shows romney with a two-point lead nationally over president barack obama, and here's the latest polling out of ohio. it shows president obama with a three-point lead. >>> as president barack obama has visited ohio more than 20 times and most of those stops have been this year, mitt romney and paul ryan are there again this weekend as john shows us it is the battleground of the battleground states. and ohio's working moms could be the key to victory. >> the lights still on past midnight. another 20-hour day for jessica. >> i'm a single mom of a 5-year-old little girl who is fantastic. i work full time. and go to school full time. so my day usually starts around 4:45 in the morning, and ends close to 1:00 a.m. you do what you have to do in this economy. >> her vote, she said, is for jillian's future. she was leaning mitt romney until his own words pushed her back to undecided. >> about the 47%, and i can't worry about them. how can you put your faith and trust in a candidate that doesn't care about everybody?

they say mitt romney won. just 20% believe mr. obama prevailed. rasmussen dale tracking poll today has the race tied among likely voters. 48% each. in iowa and colorado, the president is hanging tough. in iowa, it's obama 49, romney 47. colorado, obama 49, romney 48. both are dead heats within the margin of error. joining us from washington, democratic strategist marge mcclinton in for juan williams and mary katherine ham. the pugh number, 49-45 surprised me, mary katherine. same with you? >> i was a little surprised at how far it moved. i'm not surprised it's moving in mitt romney's favor. i mean, this was 70 million people watching and the guy who showed up, mitt romney showed up to do that job that night was the best he had ever looked and certainly obama, the worst he ever looked on a stage with someone else, i would say when we have seen him in the situations before. people tuned in those 70 million people thinking they were going to be a colts-packers fight, but they were surprised. i think the amount of that surprise worked in romney's favor. i will point out that the pugh surve

house, now. and with 28 days to go, a new poll shows mitt romney surging into the lead after his debate win last week. it's "your voice, your vote." and jake tapper is on the trail in the battleground ohio. good morning, jake. >> reporter: good morning, george. that's right. both candidates head here to this critical buckeye state, with new polls indicating that mitt romney got a big bounce out of the debate last week. with one poll showing him in the lead. it appears to be a new day and a new race. just a few weeks ago, some in the media and politics were romney's campaign obituary. but he not only has a new lease on life, he has momentum. a new poll from the pew research center, shows romney pulling ahead of the president in likely voters. a bounce he was hoping for after the debate on last wednesday. one he noted at a rally in virginia. >> that was a good debate. >> reporter: earlier in the day, romney sought to capitalize on the tumult in the muslim world. >> we must make clear through actions, not just actions, that their nuclear pursuit won't be tolerated. >> reporter: president o

you've seen, and the polls show it, the romney/ryan ticket has momentum. the polls have tightened in recent days following mitt romney's performance, where he obviously won that debate. there's a lot more attention here. if joe biden is able to perform very well -- and he's a pretty good debater. if he's able to perform pretty well perhaps he can stem some of that momentum, at least dampen a little criticism heading into the debate next week in new york, buy the president a little time. if paul ryan clearly dominates in this debate it will be seen very much as a one-two punch and that will just mean more momentum. >> they've been, as we call it in college, cramming. how have both of them been preparing? >> reporter: yeah. it is like cramming. i think it's sort of like going back, studying for -- one aide told me it's like studying for the s.a.t.s in the middle of a campaign. they go over a lot of briefing materials. they're brushing up on domestic and foreign policy, getting to certainly know each other's positions on everything. there's a lot of sort of time spent aalone where th

him kind of seal the deal for the romney/ryan ticket. i don't think in actuality and people will be upset when i say this but i don't think this debate is going to determine in the polls -- i don't think you're going to see a bump. i think it will go back to next week's debate when you have the presidential debate and what obama does and how romney performs. this was full of. it is fun to talk about but i don't think it will move one iota in the polls. ashley: you agree with that so let's move it forward to the presidential debate. we saw joe biden become a lot more aggressive. do you expect that from the president and is there a line he must cross that could really turn the focus? >> the president will get more aggressive and he is going to observe the line since it is a town hall debate with real people you can only go so far when you are with an audience and when your opponent is walking around. he is going to try to clarify the differences in a way that joe biden also did last night. tracy: when clarifying differences you point out in your analysis how a lot of people sa

issue for the american people? you mentioned national security. >> well, look, fox released a poll yesterday shows the president has six point advantage over mitt romney on foreign policy, four point advantage on mitt romney on handling terrorism. i do think the american people are paying very close attention to this issue. what they're seeing in, clear successes and seriousness from the president and just reflexsive, nonpolicy, sabre rattling bluster from romney and ryan. jamie: got to leave it there. thanks so much for weighing. ladies good to see you. >> thank you. bill: some of last night's most heated exchanges happening over medicare. >> here's the problem. they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar turning medicare into a piggybank for obamacare. bill: so is congressman ryan right on that? back in two minutes. victor! iot your campbell's chunky soup. mom? who's mom? i'm the giants mascot. eat up! new jammin jerk chicken soup has tasty pieces of chicken with rice and beans. you know the giants don't have a mascot right mom?
